Numerous burn problems
I’m using CS 6.0 on Windows, i7
I am trying to burn a blu-ray disc of a volleyball game–about 1 1/2 hours long. I almost NEVER can get a clean burn. It will usually get around 95% done and then give me an error message, usually this one:
BluRay Error Device Not Ready Code 3 note’ creatstcsequence fial to write m2s file
but sometimes I get other error messages.
I have tried encoding (from Premiere) in Mpeg2 BluRay and H264 Blu-Ray, I have tried 2 different burners, 2 different computers, tried burning from an ISO. For every good disc, and get probably 4 bad ones, and even the good ones won’t play on my Sony BD DVD at the school (BDP 5350) — although they DO usually work on my Sony BD at home (can’t remember the model number off-hand).
I’ve tried going at 6x instead of 10x — still get the same errors.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated. There are many people who want a copy of this game.

Make sure your bit rate is correct. I do video using AVC at 21,999,999 bps. I never go above this number. Also, have Encore create an ISO and use a separate software to burn (ImgBurn is what I use).
Other than that, it could be bad burner, bad media, old firmware on your burner, etc…
I suspect your media if your bit rate is good. Make sure your media is HTL. It is most compatible with players. This media usually cost more, but is more reliable and better quality overall. I can’t speak about what brand. I buy mine from Japan, but perhaps Verbatim is good? They have made excellent CD-R and DVDR media, so I would assume their BD-R media is good as well.

I bought a pack of Verbatim DateLifePlus and have now burned 10 discs without an error. I don’t know why the brand I have used for years suddenly started giving me over 50% coasters. (and I’ve got close to 200 of those sitting on my shelf)
