• Adobe Encore DVD

  Close caption not working

  I’m trying to get close caption on a short training video edited in Premier CC.

  I imported the ssc file and added to the timeline, exported time with cc embedded .
  I can see the cc when played back in QT with cc turned on.

  But when the same clip is imported into Encore and made into DVD , no cc.

  I tried importing the ssc file into Encore, it said the import worked and showed rhe file name, but didn’t carry over when I made the DVD

  Please advise the best ay to get cc on a DVD

  Note: I may not be saying the correct file name “scc” , sorry don’t have project in front of me.

  Did you follow the field selection step in the help file?

  Encore DVD only accepts TXT files, so you have to transcode your SCC using a software like Subtitle Edit.

  SCC are closed caption, not subtitles; Encore does accept them, but some users report difficulty using.

  Encore help re scc files.

  You’re right, my bad. I never used closed captions so I thought you were talking about regular subtitles.

  Sorry for the mistake!
