  DVD displaying 4:3 instead of 16:9

  I’m using Encore CS4 version 4.0.1.048

  I’m having a problem with my DVD project. Both menus are displaying as 4:3 letterbox. So is my video. All of these elements are 16:9. They are all set to 16:9 under the properties tab. They appear as 16:9 on the monitor in Encore. When I watch them in preview they appear as a letterboxed 16:9 video in a 4:3 frame. They also appear the same way on a burned DVD. I want them in a 16:9 full frame. I’ve never had this issue before and I have no idea how to fix it. Everything seems to be set correctly as far as I can tell. Any ideas?

  I think I answered my own question. Under the Encore menu choose Preferences. From there choose preview and make sure TV Mode is set to 16:9. Not sure how this got set to 4:3 on mine to begin with because I’ve never had this issue until now.
