    Hey everyone,

I have a clip with 6channel surround sound that I want to burn on BluRay.
I used Sorenson Squeeze to get the appropriate h264 BluRay File and used audacity to mux the 6 discrete wav files I got from the sound mixer to a single multi channel ac3 File.

Importing the video file works like a charm, but when I try to import the ac3 file I get an error message saying: “could not import file xxxxxx.ac3. More than two audio channels for rhis type of encoding is not supported.”

As I understand it Encore doesn’t have the option to encode Surround ac3 Files, only stereo, but in my case I just want encore to bypass the audio without encoding anything.

Where am I going wrong? There has to be a way to get surround sound on your BluRays and DVDs, right?
Is it audacity, that is creating some kind of non compliant ac3 file.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Jo,
you can easily import 5.1-AC3 into encore. I would guess that audacity-AC3 will not be spec-compliant (as it´s open source).

encore is checking every asset while importing. you might try to use a different AC3-encoder.

    cheers
