I’m trying to burn a simple DVD with single chapter selection menu. When I burn the DVD strait from Encore, it works fine. But if I try to make an ISO and burn the DVD from the ISO, the DVD will burn successfully but will not play back in any player.

Specifically, the native Mac OS X DVD player gives me the cryptic “Supported Disc Not Available” message.

My hardware specs shouldn’t be an issue here. But I am running OS X Mountain Lion. Maybe there is an issue with how my OS deals with ISO files?

    Josh,
if you need to burn an iso-image to a disc using mac os, you must use your disc-utility to do so.

you can´t use finder to burn such disc, as finder will allways burn HFS-volumes that couldn´t be read within stand-alone-players, and if you´ve burned an iso-image using finder you will get the wrong file-format for the entired disc.

DVD needs to have the UDF-file-format.
