I’ve been asked by a client to provide a quote to make a DVD with 5.1 Surround sound… I started working my way through multiple forums but it looks like it may be slightly complicated to do in Encore… something about using SurCode?

Can anyone point me to a tutorial or give an outline of the process involved to make a 5.1 Surround Sound DVD?

Any help is very much appreciated.

    daniel,
the most easy way for you would be to go to the apple appstore and buy compressor for approx. 50bucks. you can create dolby digital audio-streams with it easily.

be awared that -27dBfs dialoge-normalisation should be used for film-source. as well as the compression setting in the preprocessing-tab.

you better should create your own setting instead of using the DD-presets.

    cheers
