  Photoshop to Encore acting weird

  I am working on a DVD menu for my demo reel. I have a video of a baseball animating in with the words for the menu already on it, so I took an image of it into Photoshop and created highlights and underlines on the words to create buttons for encore. When I take them into encore the highlights become red blobs for some reason. Here is what it looked like before the highlights

  What am I doing wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix this?
