  Is there a faster way of getting encore to produce SD versions of BD projects…

  …If you’ve already got the MPEG-2 DVD files rendered?

  I’m looking to produce identical DVD products (menu structure, chaptering etc) from the BluRay Encore builds, but obviously this’ll run through a transcoder – taking a fair bit longer than it does for me to just render the MPEGs myself.

  Obviously I appreciate it’s a fiddly request, since Encore does a half decent job of transcoding the BD files, it’s just that a straight-swap of the HD video with the standard i’ve already produced would give a nicer looking result in a quarter of the time.

  Any help would be appreciated, ta!

  The best route would be to compressed the original media/master to SD mpeg2.

  Import into Encore for authoring.
