  • Problem with “Jumping” Transitions

    Hi all,

I have a problem with transitions that are “jumping” in Encore. I used the method that we all know… Menu A, links as a transition to a .mov that has Menu A as it’s first frame and Menu B as its last frame.

My problem is that when the transition plays, the size of the mov plays back at approx. 105% scale, while the menus remain at 100% scale. Resulting in a size “jump”

Everything played back fine in preview, I’ve only had this problem since transcoding. I noticed it on my first disc, and now it shows up on preview as well.

Is this a transcode problem? Both the menu and the transition were at NTSC 720×486.

I hope this makes some sense to someone. I need smooth transitions!

    Any suggestions?

    glenn,
MPEG2 on DVD will be scaled to 720×480. in real it will be cropped 3 px on top and bottom of the picture.

    cheers

Thanks Danny. I haven’t had a chance to try that out but the 6 total pixels seems to be exactly how much it is “jumping” in. I’m sure I’ll be able to fix it if I keep this is mind and compensate for it.
    Thanks!
