  720 24p looks squished

  I’m trying to make a blu-ray from a FCP 720p24 .mov. When I preview it in Encore it looks squished – I’ve set it as 16:9 in the properties, but it’s not playing the full width of teh 1280 x 720p preview window.

  The video is likely not square pixels, and Encore is not detecting the pixel aspect ratio correctly. If you right click on the clip in the project panel, then go to interpret footage, do you have the option of setting it to the correct pixel aspect ratio?
