  Video out completely messed up

  I have Adobe CS4 Production Premium Suite. Both Encore and Premiere have video out modes that allow me to select the second monitor as full screen preview, but in both programs the preview appears completely distorted, it shows as a square taking up the left side of the screen and that’s it. It’s not like it confuses 4:3 and 16:9, it’s a nonsense square that doesn’t belong to any aspect ratio classification.

  The aspect ratio conversion option doesn’t change a thing regardless of whatever I choose (None, Hardware, or Software).

  My video card is a HIS Radeon 4850 with 1 GB of RAM, with the latest Catalyst drivers installed, but I’ve been having this issue for as long as I can remember. Is this a bug with ATI cards?
