  Weird behavior

  For some reason, when I create a new text layer, it is completely cover all layers below, even if I turn the layer off or change the opacity to zero, I still can’t see the layers below.

  Any thoughts on what might cause this?

  I figured it out. The lower layer had a track matte enabled
