  Animated menu Starting Point but no chapter ?

  I have prepared an animated menu in Encore…
  I have draged 6 timelines into 6 boxes (%) so now I have 6 buttons that are actually 6 part of the videos on which you can click on
  I know the lenght of the motion menu will be the lenght of my audio loop. That’s fine
  But I would want these videos to start NOT FROM THE BEGINNING but each from a determined point.

  Two questions

  1) I tried putting a marker in the timeline and right click and telling it to be the start. I don’t know exactly what’s going on but sometimes it seems that Encore doesn’t care and starts from the beginning
  2) Anyway.. Even if I get it to work.. I will find my self with a CHAPTER inside my video that I don’t really want. The user pressing >>| will find himself in the point where I wanted th animation to start in the menu.. but this point has no special meaning for me… Watching the movie if the user presses >>| on the DVD player should just jump to the next track.

  So.. how can I put a different start tha 0’00” without creating a new chapter in the timeline?

  You need to set the “Poster Frame” for the chapters. Remove any unwanted chapter markers, and set the poster frame of your actual chapter (by selecting the chapter, and going into the properties panel) to any point in the video. It literally can be anywhere, doesn’t even have to be close to the actual chapter.
