    Dear pros,

I’ve been working on this dvd and have been trying to fit 4.69GB worth of videos on a 4.7 DVD. As I was putting on timelines in Encore, the size somehow increases more than what the actual sizes of my videos are.

Help please ASAP? how do i fix this size problem? and why is the size somehow increasing as i add the timelines?

also, a tip in transcoding large vids but retain good quality for a dvd?

    begginner,
    audrey

Is the 4.69 GB size the file size that is listed in Windows Explorer? If so, it’s too big because Windows and blank DVD media have different ways of counting “billions of bytes”.

The best tip for large files (up to a point) is to let Encore transcode them automatically.
