  Bad fade quality on transcodes

  Hi,
  I seem to have really bad video quality during any kind of fade (cross fade/ fade to / from black) when transcoded by encore …
  the original looks fine (QT ref out of Avid) but after it’s been trancoded the imagery is really blocky, like a very low res jpeg.. once the image had completed the fade it looks fine again…
  any clues ?
