  Naming DVDs and Titles

  I’m looking at my DVD compilation in Windows Media Player. Along the right hand side is “Unknown DVD” and each of the five titles of the DVD merely say Title 1, Title 2, 3, 4 and 5.

  Where do I name the DVD media, and the titles for ID in this location?

  It’s not meta-data that can be added at the DVD authoring stage. Instead, you add this information manually in Windows Media Player, then upload it to Microsoft’s database.

  Note that if you are not mastering a DVD (having it stamped at a replication facility), then this information would have to be manually added to each burned DVD. The reason is that replicated discs all have the same disc ID (so you only have to enter this information once); burned discs do not.
