General Error after runing preview
Since loading Encore (I have CS2) on my new Dell T3400 Workstation, i’m having a big problem. As i’m building my project all is fine until i ‘Preview’; the first time i ‘Preview’ it works fine but then from that point on, every time i try to re-preview, i get the “General Error” message. i did find that there’s a .mpg file (mp24x3NTSC720x480.mpg … it’s always named the same) in the Source/Video folder of my project which seems to have problems. i suspect it may be the ‘preview’ video file that Encore builds when you request a preview action, but anyway, when i try to play it, it won’t play and media player (ver.9) says it can’t find the file.
i’ve been searching various forums all day with no success. Has anyone had any experience with this type of thing? There’s very little on any forum, including Adobe, that addresses the “General Error” issue.
