  Encore CS3

  Just loaded Encore CS3 software as part of the CS3 suite on all our computers in tihe classroom. Trying to open into Encore a Flash file – tried both .fla and .swf – but error said the correct decoder could not be found. Have opened .avi, .wav, .psd and other files with no problem. Why wouldn’t the MainConcept decoder installed with Encore not work with the Flash files? Could use your advice. Thanks.

  Encore CS3 does not import FLA or SWF files – it’s primarily a DVD authoring tool that also happens to export to SWF (and Blu-ray).

  Instead, try importing an AVI, MOV, MPEG-2, or H.264 video file. These are the video formats that Encore supports for import.
