I want to give a button a ‘selected state’ highlight and a ‘activated state’ highlight. I use the layer prefixes (=2) and (=3) but the activated and selected highlights always appears togheter. What is going wrong ?
Thans for helping me out !

You need to create a custom menu color set if you want an activated state that is different than the selected state.

You could try this tutorial Subpicture Highlights at jmrser.com.Once you change from automatic color sets (go to menu – edit subpicture highlights), you have two possible color sets each with three colors (each one denoted in the highlight button name =1,=2 etc) for the selected state and activated state. Just click on the color and set each one there and also adjust the opacity.
I think you can only use one color set at a time per menu.
