• Adobe Encore DVD

  Cannot install Encore DVD

  I am having problems installing Encore DVD. I have an Windows-XP based system (Service pack 2 installed). I installed the software as indicated. I rebooted as instructed. Then, upon loading the application, by the time it is loading the Opacity driver, the following error message appears:

  Adobe Encore DVD has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

  The actual error message is
  AppName: adobe encore dvd.exe AppVer: 2.0.0.48678 ModName: encore asio.dll
  ModVer: 1.0.1.1 Offset: 00006f7d

  and then it asks the usual “send” or “don’t send” to Microsoft and ends.

  And that’s pretty much it. If anybody can give me an idea as to what may be happening I would appreciate it.

  The error module might indicate a sound card driver problem, or maybe a conflict with installed VST plug-ins.

  Try updating your sound card driver first.
