  • Repeat Video or Play Once – NOT motion menu looping

Simple task, which I think I’ve done before but can’t recall how I did it:

Provide the options to play the video once, or let it loop endlessly.

I tried Chapter Playlist, got an error. I searched the Archives here, found discussion of a bug in repeating a video too many times in a Playlist, and tried the solution (put same chapter in no more than three times, end action to an empty playlist whose end action goes back to the first playlist). But that generated an error as well.

So I took the coward’s (pragmatist’s) way out (copied the MPEG files, renamed them, and imported the copies, then assigned end action of copy to its own Chapter 1). But I’d like to know how to do this better. Anybody?

Using Encore DVD 2.0 — setup your title with END-ACTION to play itself (this is the looping button).

For the “Play Once” button, setup a menu button to LINK to the same Title, but change the OVERRIDE to be a menu.

    Regards,

That did the trick. Thanks so much.
