  Motion Menu Button glitch

  I have a DVD with three motion menus. On one menu, three buttons work flawlessly. The other two buttons work with a glitch:

  1. hit the button
  2. screen goes black
  3. menu reappears momentarily
  4. video starts playing

  I’ve looked at the Encore file, and can’t see any difference between these buttons and the others which work without the glitch. Is there something I may be overlooking, or is there something I can do, or is this my DVD player trying to recall the last frame during a too-long transition? If the last is the case, what can I do to make the transition smoother and quicker?

  This happens when I wrack my brain, give up and write to the COW — about five minutes later I get the answer. Maybe somebody is reading this and I’m picking up the brainwaves.

  The glitch was due to the fact that I had trimmed a tiny bit of the head of those two timelines, and I hadn’t pulled the video and audio clips up to the head of the timeline.

  That is the right thing to do, right? I was worried about sync when doing this — has anyone had trouble with it?
