    Hi All,
I’ve been trying to get better results with progressive scan as our conference room is equipped with a plasma moniter and nice progressive scan DVD player.
I shot a recent project entirely in 30FPS progressive (Canon XL2), created all the animatiosn in 30p, as well as any special title sequences. When exporting I use a completely uncompressed 4:3 progressive setting on the export and encode using Encore 2.0’s progressive scan setting. Last week at 4am I somehow got a good copy out that looks great on the plasma in progressive scan mode. This week I try to repeat the steps with another video and I can’t get the end product to look progressive. There’s always a bit of stutter unless I switch the DVD player back to interlaced.
The entire project was produced with the new production studio except for a few animations that were created in Boris Red GL 3.0. Any ideas as to why this isn’t working out are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Keif
