  • Adding data to a NTSC DVD using Encore

Sometime in the past I had read that data can be added to a DVD. I believe they referred to it as a hybrid DVD. It plays the movie when inserted into a standard DVD player. The data (jpg files, etc.) can then be accessed using the computer’s DVD drive.

I can not find any documentation on this. It appears that I did not read the article correctly.

    Yes it can be done.

You can even use menus that access the DVD-Rom material. Sonic’s eDVD4 is a good little program for creating stuff like that. You can link to programs, spreadsheets, images, websites, email…

    Neat little program.

Does Encore do this? I can not find anywhere in the program about how to do it.

No, encore doesn’t set up these type of files.

You can create the files in another program and point encore to that folder so when you burn it, it will add that folder to the final DVD, but you need another program to do DVD-Rom stuff.
