close captioning, css files…how to do it.
Hi guys,
I’m new here and would first of all like to say hello to everyone. I’ve came to the cow and milked it for all it’s worth for about four years though:)I have Encore 2.0 and have followed adobes “basic” instrucions on how to insert a .css file into my project.
This is what they say to do:1. In the Timeline Viewer, select the video track you want to add closed captions to.
In the Video Clip Properties panel, click the Browse button for Field 1 or Field 2. (Closed captions typically use Field 1.)2. Locate and select the SCC file that contains the closed captions, and then click Open.
I have tried to do this and first off, when I put the ccs file into field one it gives me the message “line 21 is not available for this stream type”. I am using an AVI file by the way. It has no sound and no subtitling. I can put them into field TWO, but the closed caption doesn’t work when viewed on the tv.
This is driving me nuts. Thanks for any help guys and girls.
