No offense, but if you think a program is crap, try something else. This forum, however, can often shed light on these types of issues.

January 14, 2006 at 2:35 ami found that Encore’s built in encoder does a good job, however its slow as a snail even on a p4-3ghz with 2 gb of ram. Think thats fustrating, wait til you manually do subtitles for your project. it makes the who program slow down to a crawl to the point where it makes you want to pull your hair out 🙁 I’ve had a few crashes and corrupt files because of this :_(

January 14, 2006 at 4:07 amI just switched over from DVDit PE and Encore is WAY BETTER! Big Suprise-Not.
Anyway, I do my encoding with Canopus ProCoder, and Encore leaves it alone, only transcoding the audio to AC3.
So far I like it.

January 16, 2006 at 8:56 amIf you’re having trouble with Encore subtitles, try Subtitle Workshop. It’s freeware, incredibly stable, easy to use and exports as a text file in the Encore format.
