    Hi,
Im having the same error that Sal had in a earlier post. Does anyone know how to fix this. i’m encodeing in PPro 1.5 and using Encore 1.5 to burn

I get an “Unidentified Error” message when I try to preview the DVD or build (regardless of if im mastering, making a dvd folder, burning to disc, etc.) Video is already transcoded.

I cannot get my project out to disc, anybody have any suggestions? Deadline is rapidly approaching! Thanks

Look to see if you have a chapter mark at or near the end of a timeline. If so, move it back toward the front a notch.

I do and I will try your suggestion, although I did output this DVD by letting encore do the encoding instead of premire. but since I put my chaper marks in with encore I might have done what you already suggested by accident. Thanks for your reply.

    Hello!

So, I managed to SOLVE the BIG Adobe Encore problem ”Unidentified Error”.

I was working in the 1.5, 1.5.1 and 2.0 version. And they all have
the same problem, only the 2.0 version calls it ”internal software error”.

So the problem lies in the OVERRIDE function:

    1. went to the timeline TAB
    2. select all timelines with SET OVERRIDES
    3. in the properties window under override make a right click and select delete

This way you will get rid of all override functions for the timelines
BUT if you click on a buttom, that had override set on, you will see that
the override function for the buttom it is still SET ON.

That way the OVERRIDE function will work properly and you won’t have any more problems
    with the BIG error.

I hope I could help you.
Regards from Slovenia and good luck!

I checked all of my settings, but I don’t have an overrides set. In fact, I can’t tell the difference between this burn–which keeps getting an “internal error” message–and the last one! It’s not even a different project. The only thing I changed was where the buttons were located on the menu. Any ideas what could be causing the message:
    “internal software error: .\EditorTemplates.cpp,line 698”
