I have widescreen footage coming from an avid. What file type and settings do I need this media to be in order to create a DVD that is 16:9? Am i missing settings in Encore? Does an mpeg2 negate widesreen? please help. when I first tried with a quicktime movie it said it would only except 720X480, 720X486, and something else (I forgot). None of these sizes matches a widescreen size, does it? Please help me.

Thank you so much, in advance!

720×480 with a 1.2 (1.185) pixel aspect ratio would be the correct size for 16:9 video on a DVD.
Also see the Adobe TechDoc Work with non-square pixels…
