I’ve posted this in Premiere also.

I’ve just finished a project using 6.5. The video is about 30 minutes long. I exported to movie for Encore 1.0. I’m new to using the programs but think I had everything set correctly. So let me explain the problem.

The video in premiere has several standard cross fade transactions. Most are working fine on the DVD except for a few. One of them is from a color matte I used as a white video instead of black. Another is I razored a single frame out of the video and desaturated it in photoshop and brought it back as a tga file still. Basiclly it was a freeze frame that turned black and white to give it drama.

Also in the video I did some interviews. Kind of blooper interviews. I used the bars and tone to seperate each interview. I roll edited them down so they weren’t so long. In the DVD they don’t show and freezed the next segment of video.

All work fine in premiere but not after transcoding in Encore. I don’t know if this is a premiere problem or encore. Also the DVD did not finish the section of video before it froze.

I’m also posting this in the Encore forum hoping for some help. I have to have this done by Saturday and I’m going nuts. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you exported from Premiere with the “Optimize Stills” setting enabled, I would suggest to export again with this setting disabled.

And not related, but if you haven’t updated Encore 1.0 to 1.0.1 yet: Encore DVD 1.0.1 update.

In case you are using the 1.0 trial version of version: The trial can’t be updated, instead you could download the 1.5 trial. If it is the full version there may be a problem with the Windows registry. For this you should contact Adobe tech support who can walk you through the necessary steps.
