  NX5U – VC-582 PCB failture

  My NX5U suddenly started turning itself off. Turns out it’s an “intermittent VC-582 PCB”. I was able to borrow the same camera from a friend to get through my shoot. But it turns out his camera had already experienced the same failure. Sony repair is $900.

  I’m wondering how many other NX5U owners have had this problem? Both our cameras were out of warranty — but I’m wondering whether this is a widespread problem with this particular model — or whether we just got unlucky?
