Sony – HDR-CX280 – Advice
Hello everyone, firstly I would like to say sorry if this thread has been posted in the wrong section.
Recently I purchased Sony HDR CX280 Handy Cam filming birthday parties and ceremonies. After the successful projects files I have been given the opportunity to film my mate’s friends wedding. At the moment I am low on budget and will not be able to purchase “high-standard” cameras and rely on my Handy Cam.
I only have tripod and some additional batteries, nothing else.
I did some research and found some accessories that might be able to help, I just need some advice from the profession people here on my favourite fourm, Creative Cow.What do you think of the following accessories, do you have some reconsiderations?

I don’t have any familiarity with those products.
However, this is how I approach this type of thing and will pass it on to you.
Buy the candidate accessories from a place you can return them.
Buy them well before the event.
Set up test conditions most similar to the type of shooting you expect to do. For instance, low light or high speed, etc.
Record footage, bring in your editor and determine if it works for you.

I will take what you have mentioned into consideration and will be testing out the camera.Would you happen to know the difference between these two accessories, both provide light which is essential but surely one must be better than another:-

The second one puts out more light, and is larger. The second one is smaller, puts out less light, but is compact light the small camera you are using.
The more light the better for weddings. They are always needing light.

Hello, thanks for your response.
I did some research and agree with you, the second light seems to be better as it’s much brighter. With that being said I continued to carry out more research, the original price of the light you mentioned is just over £170! It’s quite expensive, but I found an alternative:E-THINKER HD-LE1 60 LED Battery Video Light for Nikon, Canon, Sony as HVL-LE1 :-

There isn’t anything more I can help you with.
Refer to my first post. Buy what you think, buy three lights if you want and try them before the shoot, return the ones you don’t want.

Hello, I’ve almost found what I am searching for but now I’ve hit a brick wall.
Would you happen to know what is an ISO Shoe Adapter & Auto-Lock Accessory Shoe Adapter?
Which one would be compatible with my HandyCam?Thanks
