  Frame delay on NX70 HDMI output?

  I’ve looking for a compact 1080p60 camcorder to use in a live production setting. I want to use HDMI output, because most of the rest of my system is also HDMI. And I need as little delay as possible, because I’m using a software video switcher (vMix) and the capture card and output from PC also add their own delays.

  With the Sony HVR-V1U 1080i camera, I get a delay of about 30 ms on the HDMI output. My method of measuring the delay is to point the camera at a laptop running the timer at tft.vanity.dk/inputlag.html , connect the camera’s HDMI output to an HDMI monitor, and then take a picture of both screens with a DSLR camera on a fast shutter setting.

  What I’d like to know is how the Sony NX70U performs in this kind of test. I’ve tried a Canon 1080p camcorder and its delay is about 67 ms. Hopefully the NX70U is better. Would any NX70U users be willing to try this to help me out?

  Alternatively, if it’s done on the NX30 that would be helpful too.
