  Music video on FS700 and Slow Motion advice needed

  We have an upcoming music video that’s currently in pre production and we’re having difficulty working out frame rates. The last video for the artist was shot on the RED at 30fps and played back at 24fps for that nice smooth effect. We would like to do the same but with the Sony FS700, however in PAL mode we can’t see an option for 30fps. If we switch to 60Hz we get 30fps but run the risk of lighting flicker.

  Am I missing something here – is there a way to achieve the slow & smooth effect with this camera at 30fps?

  We also have access to a NanoFlash, perhaps there is some work around with this?

  We’d really appreciate some advice on this as the shoot is coming up soon.

  If there’s no option for 50Hz 30p then I figure what i’m essentially asking is do I shoot at 30fps 60hz and slow down to 24p or do I record at 50hz 50p, convert to 30fps, then slow it down to 24fps?
