  Link for FS700 firmware update?

  Is there a sony link to update the firmware on the FS700 for the new SELP-18-200 servo lens?

  We are still doing some last minute QA on this here and have not posted it to the US download site yet, however it is available from the Sony Asia site at the link below. Understand that you download and install at your own risk as we can’t support updates that we haven’t fully vetted and tested and which originate from the websites of other Sony sales companies.

  Should be very soon, though I am reluctant to provide an exact ETA. It will be a user-installable update and a free download. If you can wait we’d prefer if you do so as if you run into any issues with the download or installation of the new firmware we can’t do much for you if you got it from a non-US site.

  I m waiting for the FS700 firmware upgrade before purchasing the Nex 18-200 power zoom any info would be most welcome.

  Hi, just saw this. This firmware update only provides function for the zoom control, right? Any other little fun things we should look forward to?

  Hi John,
  The only other thing that was added that I’ve been able to see is the ability to now have ALL screen display info output to my hdmi evf. Very cool in that I can now see my focus settings in the evf, not just timecode. Not sure if the ALL OUTPUT setting was different for anyone else, but prior to the upgrade that was all I could get.
