Where to buy Sony parts?
I need a lens hood for a Sony PMW-200, which I believe is the same as the lens hood for the EX-1. It’s very difficult to find part numbers and deal directly with Sony. Does anyone have a company they use to get Sony parts? There is so much plastic on this camera that I think I’ll need to order more parts soon.

I have gone to Sony’s ServicesPlus website many times in the past:

You can look up the parts using schematics and search tools. Very handy.

Did you have any trouble searching? I’m looking for parts for my PMW-200. When I put that in the parts finder, it says “No models found”.

Must be a glitch. First, lose the dash. Second, type PMW200 into the field labeled “Model Prefix starts with:”. Oddly enough, the results that come up use PMW200 as the model number.
I get an alert that says it’s only listing 500 parts – so hopefully what you’re seeking is included in the search results. We could always call Sony and tell ’em about the glitch.

Thanks. That gets me farther along. I found a schematic somewhere else, so I should be able to match the part number. Still, you think there would be an easier way.
