  Fixing incomplete MP4s from an AX100

  We’ve been using some FDR-AX100E cameras for our current broadcast production and we’ve had an issue with cards being ejected before the files have been finished written, leaving us with some ‘corrupt’ MP4s and no XML data.

  Presumably the recorded footage is there and it is just closing metadata or file architecture that is missing. Can anyone advise how we could fix these incomplete files?

  We’re using Catalyst Prepare to make Pro Res Proxy QTs then AMA Transcode to DnX36 in Avid.
