I was recently shooting a lot outside using the hoodman loupe on my lcd screen.it was a hot day.
the next day I had a shoot in a church and when I turned the camera on the lcd was literally off, you could faintly see an image as if I turned the iris almost completely closed. freaking out, I saw the on/off lcd backlight switch. it was in the off position,so I turned it on and all was good.
my question, did something happen to the lcd?
it was fine before and that switch was in the off position from day one that I had the camera.
    input welcome.

It’s very easy to move that switch I got a new camera bag and the hold down strap flipped the LCD backlight off. Freaked me out at first (honestly, I didn’t even know there was an Off switch until then). You may have just brushed the switch attaching your Hoodman.
