yes, make sure all necessary drivers are installed (UDF driver for your 200 and the FAM or VFAM driver for the optical machine) and use Browser to drag clips from the 200 to the the XDCAM disc. The basic rules on mixing formats apply:
With MIXED RECORDING disabled = disc must be one format/standard/frame rate
With MIXED RECORDING enabled = you can mix SD/HD, video bit rates and frame rates as long as the clips are in the same frame frequency group (i.e. 30/60, 25/50…24p cannot be mixed with other frame rates)
“Mixed Recording” can be enabled in the maintenance menu on the decks and in the control panel software for the portable drives.
Discs are ‘agnostic’ after formatting. It’s the first clip you copy/record that determines the limitations/spec for the disc.
Also make sure FREE NAMING is enabled on the optical disc deck. This is in the ops menu on the decks and in the control panel software for the drives. If this is disabled only clips with generic, hardware-generated clip names (C0001, C0002) will be accepted.
