  XDCAM MXF not recognised (PMW500+200)

  Hello.

  A drive from our production went down and was sent to a professional data recovery service.

  They seemed to have recovered all data with all the folder structures etc in tact.

  However, I cannot AMA link volume/individual file or import, or indeed open in XDCAM browser/transfer.

  The XML files look to be junked with symbols etc. Not sure this is the actual problem though as I thought you should still be able to link to them even if XML files weren’t there? I might be wrong.

  Additionally Gopro.mov’s aren’t being recognised either, but .MTS files from an NX70 are opening fine.

  Does anyone have any suggestions, alternative programs that might open/restructure/recover the MXF files etc that could be tested? Or has anyone come across and resolved a similar issue before?
