  EX3: HD recording, and SD output for streaming

  Hi,

  im kinda new at this, but here i go.
  I need to shoot a conference.
  I have 3 ex3s.
  I have to make HD recording of the event, and at the same time stream it live to ustream or whatever.
  I want to do live editing of 3 signals with Edirol v8 mixer, and output 1 already mixed signal to a pc with the input card.
  I guess the HD output through SDI wouldnt work with the v8 mixer, so I guess i need to downconvert HD output to SD. I’ve red there is an option on the camera. Is this a problem solver? Or i have to use some external downscaler?

  I would appreciate any solution

  Edirol V8 does not have SDI in, only Composite analog on BNC.

  so if i put some kind of sdi to composite converter im good?

  The camera has composite out but in my experience it doesn’t look very good. Perhaps a digital to analog from SDI will look better.

  Not sure if you need to downconvert though.
