    getting into a 48hour film contest in a few weeks and would love to shoot this in the 24p setting.
    anyone shot this and how well does it mimi a filmish look?ive heard both ways on this

    Why not do some test shooting? The 24p looks fine to me.

    Looks good at 24p. I would stick with those settings for this project.

    not sure why but when im looking at this footage on my external hd monitor it looks no different than my usual hd footage i shoot is the standard setting

    Does your monitor have a high refresh rate? That would cause it to lose some of the “cinema” look.
