  XDCAM browser preview window

  Just noticed when I drag a clip from the explorer window into the preview window.. I get top left

  XDCAM HD/HD 422 Proxy

  Why the proxy? its not the real file..? the quality is not very good.. but Iam sure thats down to my computer.. MBP ..

  It’s just a setting, you can view in low res Proxy (better for slower computers) or full res HD/SD. Change in Preferences–>PLAY–> MXF Playback Quality
