  Sony B & P service centre’s in Australia

  Hi,

  Trying to get a replacement rear panel for my EX1 as the lettering is almost gone. Thought I’d try Sony spare parts as ADVISED by one of their staff (Peter Longstaff) but you can only email them.

  Pretty useless reply back from them stating I have to buy this panel thru a Broadcast and Professional Service Centre in Australia yet the Sony site doesn’t appear to provide this infomation for specific B&P products, only consumer items.
  Can somebody please help advise who are the services centres in Oz?

  For a while Sony was replacing these for free, you may want to check with your nearest Sony repair center. The first shipment of the EX1 backs had a poor lettering process and Sony quickly offered to replaced them. Even if the offerl is over these parts new couldn’t cost that much and I would think a good Sony service center might offer the labor for free.
