  • Best way to mix 59.94i and 24p in FCP?

    hey guys!
    so here be the dilemma:

I’ve been working on a Short Film project with a 1080/24p shot on a EX1. I transfer everything with XDCAMTransfer into a FCP 7 project and edit. So, In the middle of it all, the director had a change of heart and reshot a bunch of scenes and now she absolutely needs them to be included in the project. problem is… they were shot in 59.94i.

So the problem is not so much a workflow issue but an advice. Any suggestions on the best way to include this scenes without having the whole thing be rendered over an do over again?

more so.. Any suggestions at all? Im to pissed to think straight.

Get a good frame rate conversion plugin from Nattress and make them 24p again. Otherwise they will not look good.

Like Noah said, convert everything to 24p and you’re good to go.
