This one has me totally stumped.

Is there a way to save a file to a card, put that card in the XD cam and in turn, play it out.

You can play out raw clips that you shot, but I’m looking to use it as sort of playback for something that was edited on a laptop. I can’t seem to find the right settings or exports on the laptop that would allow the camera to play it out.

I’m using Edius editing. The end goal is to play out a finished story in real time from the camera through LiveU. Yes, it would be easier to just play it out of the laptop, but I can’t get LiveU to accept an input from the laptop.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

Don’t recall if Edius can export an EX mp4 file but the process in FCP and Vegas is to export the Sony .mp4 file to the root of /CLIPR and then update the card on the camera (menu–>others–>clip–>update) or in Clip Browser (refresh the source in the Explorer window). The ‘update’ registers the file, updates mediapro.xml and creats a thumbnail..
