uv filter for a sony wide angle conversion lens

I have a pmw-ex1 and i have a sony wide angle conversion lens for it that I keep on almost all the time. I would like to protect it from getting scratched or damaged with a uv filter, but I can’t find a filter that will work. I spoke with b&h people and they couldn’t help. The lens is a sony VCL-EX0877/ 90mm. It does have an inner thread, but I’m not sure that anything can be screwed on there due to the bulging out of the rounded lens surface. One caveat: the conversion lens itself runs about $450, so I don’t want to spend money on something that costs more than the lens. Does anyone have any suggestions?chris demars
