  Workflow Solution – Element Logs

  Hi!

  I currently create my element logs by viewing my clips on the XDCAM EX Clip Browser and manually typing the details such as the clip name, date and clip duration into an excel spreadsheet.

  This is extremely time consuming, so i was wondering if anyone knows of a software out there that’s able to extract those 3 details from each clip in my memory card and export them into a spreadsheet/list form. Any idea?

  Hi Shuling,

  Check out CatDV. It’s a terrific program for what you want to do, although it’s perhaps more program than you might need. The price for the entry level version is very reasonable. There’s also a CatDV forum right here at Creative COW.
