  • Selecting a recoding slot with EX1R?

Posted by Brian Moore on December 10, 2009 at 4:46 am

I’m recording onto a Hoodman adapter in one slot, and SxS in another. Can I switch between cards?

Example……I shoot onto the Hoodman, but when I want to overcrank, is there a way to switch to the the slot that houses the SxS?

I just got my EX1R today and i’m coming from a FX-1 so forgive me if this is basic knowledge.

    Cheers!

Look around on the camera by the actual card slot area. You should see a “Slot Select” button. When you push the button the green light should toggle back and forth over each card slot. Green light means that card is active and ready to record.

Shoot your regular footage to the SDHC card slot. Stop recording and switch slots. Record your specialty shots to the SxS Pro card.

Do not switch slots until the RED LIGHT turns green. Do not eject your card or turn off your camera unti the RED LIGHT turns green. Or, you’ll have a very bad day.
