ex3 720/50p frame rate question.
Hi,
When you are shooting 720/50p on ex3, do you separately need to change the frame rate or can you safely assume it is recording at 50fps?

Difficult to understand your question.
With the EX-1/3 you can shot at 720p24/25/30/50 or 60 (or 1080p24/25/30).
Your camera will record the frame rate that you select.
Aside this you have the “Overcranking” options. The camera shot at a certain frame rate (selectable) but the clips will be played at one of the standard frame rates (24/25/30).
For example you can set 720p24 overcranked to 60p. The camera records 60p fps but the rsulting file will be played at 24 fps getting and incredible slow-mow.

Thanks for the reply. Just as I thought. I haven’t shot on it yet but from the manual it seemed ,perhaps because the SQ options are there, one may manually need to select the frame rate too, for instance 50fps if shooting 720/50p.

You set the main (?) format in Country/Format, etc.
This is the format of the file you get in the SxS wether you overcranck, undercrank, make a time-lapse, Frame Rec, or whatever.
Then you set the SQ, time-lapse or Frame Rec.
For normal shooting just forget about SQ or he other options.
You have in the screen the format and frame rate.
