  optimized PC requirements for After Effect

  Hi forum

  Before I go out and buy Adobe After Effect CS5, I want to make sure that the next computer I am buying is more than suitable and that the program can take fully advantage of the computer.

  The computer I am buying has these main specifications:

  CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 4×3,40GHz (Turbo 3.80GHz)
  RAM: Kingston 16GB DDR3-1333 RAM
  GRAPFIC CARD: nVidia Quadro 2000 1GB PCI-E

  So in terms of CPU, RAM and Grapfic card, are these hardware items suitable and enough??

  Unless you plan for heavy duty 3d usage (other packages or the new 3rd party plugins for AE) I would drop the Quadro and get a GTX and use that money to go up to 24Gb RAM. AE makes more use of RAM and processor speed than of the GPU.
